Bridges for Music is a non-profit organisation funnelling resources from the global music industry to under-resourced communities, empowering young talent to become creative change-makers.
We are looking for a global events director who can lead all our fundraising events across the world, working closely with local teams, freelancers and partners, ensuring funds raised increase and the quality of the events are world-class.
The events to be managed include Charity Gala Dinners in London, Ibiza, Amsterdam, Cape Town and Johannesburg, our annual ADE Cycle, and new events in the US. These events are one of the key funding sources for the organisation’s missions, meaning they are of utmost importance for the overall impact and sustainability of the organisation.
This position will have access to our global network of partners and donors playing a crucial role in the overall impact of the organisation and designing collaborative campaigns with our global team.
Our Ideal candidate would have:
- Have at least 5 years of experience in managing events.
- Willing to work in and around Europe and South Africa.
- Have a track record in fundraising events, understanding how to build strategies to motivate donations
- Have at least 5 years of experience working with sponsors and brands.
- Have worked in events across Africa and Europe.
- Have experience working in the music industry
- Have worked in the charity or non-profit sector previously
- Have managed sponsorship deals and partnerships for substantial budgets.
- Be creative and proactive in creating new fundraising opportunities through events and partnerships
